Unravelling the Wedding Knot

6 Sep 2006
Planning a wedding can be a nightmare. Which venue? What entertainment? Colour, shape or style of dress? A charity Wedding Fayre in Cromford on 15 October 2006 promises to provide all of the answers to ensure that the special day is a memorable one ... for all of the right reasons.

Top Derbyshire designers and suppliers of everything from flowers to favours will be attending the event, which takes place at Alison House, a stunning 18th century country house hotel, owned by national charity Toc H.

Guests will be entertained in style with free drinks, music, fashion shows and will have the opportunity to sample taster menus. There will also be an emphasis on hand-made and local produce displayed in a large marquee within beautiful landscaped grounds.

Graham Walsh, manager of Alison House which provides a luxurious yet intimate wedding venue, said: “We are currently taking wedding bookings for 2007 and thought that the wedding fayre would be an excellent opportunity for couples to sample and choose everything they would like to have for their big day.”

The event, organised in conjunction with VBM Events, takes place from 11am to 4pm and entrance is free. For more information call (01629) 822211 or visit the Alison House website at www.alison-house.co.uk
